Selection of Genre

For our opening film, we selected the thriller genre since it enables us to build suspense, tension, and interest for the audience. Thriller movies tend to leave the audience on the edge of their seats, making them ideal for an intense opening sequence.

We can utilize several cinematic tools such as low-key lighting, rapid editing, and a foreboding soundtrack to increase suspense. The genre also allows us artistic freedom to try out enigma codes, mysterious characters, and sudden turns of events, which will render our opening intriguing and memorable.
